Are you already a florist, perhaps college or bench trained, but feel you would like some extra training on certain aspects of the job?

For example, you could have been asked for a shower bouquet, but only have level 2 so did not complete one at college.

Perhaps you have been asked to supply pedestal arrangements for an event and are unsure how to tackle them; or maybe you have a member of staff who really needs to get to grips with corsages and boutonnieres but there never seems to be enough time to teach them in the working day.

This is where I can help. You can book me and my workshop for a minimum of 3 hours. Let me know what you need to learn and I will provide flowers, sundries and training for you and/or your staff. I can train up to four people at a time and cost varies according to number of participants and the designs to be practiced. (Obviously it costs more to practice a pedestal arrangement than it does to learn how to wire a corsage, but prices for one person for three hours start from £99.00.)

Alternatively, I can come to your shop for a day and deliver advice and training on all aspects of floristry. This can be especially helpful for those who are fairly new to the industry and would like to ask someone with experience all those ‘silly questions’ that nobody else can answer. If I have an answer, you can have it. I call this my ‘Troubleshooting service’!

Not everyone wants 8 hours of intensive tuition! You may want to come along for a morning ,afternoon or evening and learn how to make something really beautiful for your home or as a gift for family and friends.

I offer three hour fun courses, the content of which varies, depending on what you want to learn. It could be hand tied bouquets, table arrangements, modern designs, how to put flowers in a vase without them falling all over the place, or even how to make a pedestal arrangement when it’s your turn on the church rota.

I can teach you one to one - or come along with one or two friends for even more fun!

You can expect to go home with what you have made, a mini training guide so you can practice at home and some new skills to share. It’s not at all scary and I don’t pre-suppose any level of skill or experience. You might be very surprised by what you can achieve with a little help and a lot of advice (and a few cups of tea or coffee!).

These courses make excellent gifts for flower lovers.
